Urban loneliness has been a critical issue in solitary living.Design can serve as a narrative to increase awareness of social issues- the urban loneliness.Loneliness is an emotion that is hard to express in words. By visualizing young adults ’s daily in multiple cities, we can create a clear sense of empathy in our society and raise awareness of the loneliness from solitary living, to help increasing the social resonance.

The experiments aim to find a visual expression of solitary living among participants. Through mutiple designed prompts, I found there is a typical visual trend among the participants: most of them show negative expressions using cold color, and they love to use isolated shapes such as square and circle to describe their solitary lives.
